Horse Racing in Missoula: Part 5
 

Race seven was for three year old and upward Quarter Horses over 300 yards.

The winner was an Idaho horse, No. 1 'Fishin Rendezvous' ridden by Chris Bowen, owned by Janeal & Nathan Burnside, trained by Donna Cronquist and bred by Nathan C or Mavis G Shaw. Second was No. 2 'Zippy Chilli Pepper' and third No. 5 'Our Hope Too'.

Race eight was the featured race of the day, the 'W.M. Koepplin Memorial', a Thoroughbred race for three year old and upwards Fillies and Mares over five and a quarter furlongs.

Winner was Washington bred horse No. 4 'Shirley Patch', a 3 year old filly ridden by Dan Karr, owned by Pam & R. C. Forster, trained by Dick Forster, bred by Thomas B. Birklid. Second was No. 1 'Troublesomeaffair', third No. 3 'C C Sky Dancer'

On the final bend, No. 7 'Under Desert Skies' (Shaunda Larsen) and No. 6 'Racy Cat' (David Brown in orange) are well behind No. 4 ''Shirley Patch' (Dan Karr in yellow), No. 1 'Troublesomeaffair' (Russell Kingrey in red) and No. 3 'C C Sky Dancer' (Carl Hebert in blue)
