SpyFest 2003 : Part 3

After we had returned to our seats 'The Women of 007' were introduced, in the beautiful shape of Maud Adams, Virginia Hey, Gloria Hendry and Lana Wood. Matt Sherman accompanied them on stage, but he soon dismissed himself most graciously as the girls were clearly very capable of running the show. All were in excellent spirits, and feverishly asked for questions from the audience, and soon the crowd responded. Each in turn explained how they heard that they had got their parts in their films, and how much they enjoyed being part of the James Bond family.

After half an hour, some of the 'Men of Bond' joined them on stage, Timothy Moxen, David Hedison and George Lazenby. All seemed to be enjoying the company of their fellow actors, as well as the audience. The questions came thick and fast, and very entertaining it was. All too soon it was 6pm, and Matt came back on stage to ask us all to show our appreciation, and we were more than pleased to do so. The end of a very enjoyable day, all the guests were more than pleased to meet and greet their fans, generous with their time and full of interesting anecdotes. We hope SpyFest becomes a regular and successful event, the time and effort put in by it's organizers deserves to be applauded and rewarded.

I would like to thank Matt Sherman and Tim Norton for putting together the event, and also to the many people involved in ensuring things ran so smoothly on the day. I extend my gratitude to the following celebrities who allowed me to photograph them, David Hedison, Don Stroud, Gloria Hendry, Lana Wood, Maud Adams and Tanya Roberts. To Virginia Hey and George Lazenby and all the other celebrities who appeared at SpyFest, I thank you for appearing and being so friendly to your audience. Last, but by no means least, I would like to thank my sister-in-law Dianne who chauffeured us, and to my wife Val for her invaluable encouragement and support.
