In 1990, The James Bond International Fan Club held their first convention out at Pinewood Film Studios. This two-day event drew a crowd of one hundred 007 fans from all over the globe to the home of the James Bond films. A studio tour was made around the grounds, which includes the magnificent gardens which have been used as locations in several of the Bond films, most memorably the pre-credit sequence man-hunt in 'From Russia With Love'. The 007 sound stage, the largest in Europe, towered over the backlot, which still contained the street set of Gotham City, utilised in the 1989 'Batman' movie. In one of the smaller sound stages, an enormous collection of props, models, miniatures and full size vehicles was on display. This was the largest collection of James Bond memorabilia ever assembled, and it is unlikely to be exceeded in the future. On the following pages you will find photographs of many of these rare items, many of them have never been on public display since this special event.
