Western Montana Fair
The first race of the day was a 300 yard Maiden race for Quarter Horses three years old and upwards, with 7 runners on the dirt track. The straight gallop from the starting gate to the finish line took just under 16 seconds for the winning horse No. 4 'This Snow is Gold' ridden by Shannon Wippert. Bred, owned and trained by Roberta Archer from Missoula, Montana. Second was No. 3 'Rj Red Racer', third No. 2 'Masked Huichol'.
The number four was to prove lucky on the day, winning 6 of the 9 races it ran in.

The second race was also a 300 yard Quarter Horse race, this time for two year olds. Another win for a Montana horse, No. 4 'KR Montana Shake Em' ridden by David Deforest Brown, owned by Ed Racing LLC, trained and bred by Ed and Mary Kvler. Second was No. 8 'Royal Ice Princess', third No. 5 'Strawflyin Buds Man'
