Western Montana Fair

Race three was the first Thoroughbred race of the day, and was for Maiden two year olds over 5 furlongs + 80 yards.

The winner was another Montana horse, No. 3 'Rocknriverman' ridden by Ivan Ortiz, Jr. owned by Tawni Murphy, trained by Doug Johnson and bred by Dean Murphy. Second was No. 7 'Deadly Talons' and third No. 5 'Dc Carleysprospect'.

  No. 3 'Rocknriverman' (Ivan Ortiz, Jr. in the blue) takes the inside line from No. 7 'Deadly Talons' (Russell David Kingrey in purple).  No. 6 'Kentucky Ridge' (orange) was disqualified from 3rd to 4th place.

Racing for the finishing line is No. 3 'Rocknriverman', a 2 year old colt ridden by Ivan Ortiz, Jr.

Race four was a six and a half furlong race for three year old and upwards Thoroughbred Maidens. The starting gate was re-positioned to the far side of the track for this 1 1/2 lap race.

Winner was a California horse, No. 2 'Plum Puzzled' ridden by Roger Butterfly, owned by Adlai Falls Down, trained by Amber Flom and bred by Susan and Rob McGrath. Second was No. 5 'Just Joe Bridled', third was No. 6 'Honest Oaks'

They're Off! Jockey Ivan Ortiz Jr. came in 2nd on the 3 year old gelding 'Just Joe Bridled' 
 
On the first lap, horse No. 5 'Just Joe Bridled' (Ivan Ortiz Jr.) takes an early lead over No. 2 'Plum Puzzled' (Roger Butterfly)  No. 6 'Honest Oaks' (Nate Smith) races No. 3 'King and Queen'  (Terrance Birdrattler) for the line. (No. 3 was disqualified from 3rd to 5th place)

The winning horse, No. 2 'Plum Puzzled', a 4 year old chestnut gelding ridden by Roger Butterfly.
