This was DeHavilland's first purpose designed bush aircraft, and almost 1700 were built in a 20 year production run. First flown in 1947, it has a maximum cruising speed of 137 knots with a ceiling of 20,000 feet and a wing span of 48 feet. It can seat six to eight, including the pilot.
